CAPTAIN'S MEETING JANUARY 6th 2009
STANDINGS We are trying something new this year for score keeping. The BCA offers a system called LeagueSys in which we can enter scores and then publish to a public website for you to view. Click the Standings link on the 8-Ball page to go to this new site. There are various links across the top to view data in various formats. Team standings are listed on the front page. You can click on each team to view each teams results throughout the year. On bottom of this page it shows the upcoming matches. You can click the "VS" on your upcoming match to print a score sheet. The cost of this system is $0.25 per player per week. Each week we will have 64 players playing so it will be $16 per week. For a 20 week season this will amount to $320. I would like captain's to vote on this system at the next captain's meeting so take a look through the website and let us know what you think. This system will allow the Secretary to just enter scores just like a score sheet into the system and click a button to update the public LeagueSys site so the amount of time needed to provide standings is greatly reduced. I believe it is well worth the money and hope you agree!

Ballot Results Weekly player fees will increase from $5 to $8 per player per week beginning next season, October 2008. Sub fees are reintroduced. Team's are responsible for an additional $5 fee above weekly fees for use of a sub. This fee replaces the $30 player fee. Once a sub has 6 weeks played, this fee is waived. Teams are allowed only 1 reschedule at any time. A minimum of 24-hour notice must be given to the opposing team and to the Secretary. |
