Remember that per BCA rules all tips must be composed of leather, fibrous
or pliable material. Specifically, the cue tip on break cues must
be made of leather with no non-leather materials added to the contacting
surface. This rule must be enforced during BCA events which includes the Capital City Classic. |

| PRESIDENT'S PROPOSAL for Vegas Players and 5-player teams |
First, let me explain the purpose behind the proposed changes. Our
league has been in decline for several years. Most of the players
we lose are folks that want to have fun but also feel like they are just
supporting a core group of folks to go to Vegas every year (their words
from my discussions with them). Additionally, at the current level
we cannot sustain sending 15 Thursday league players - this year we will
be using money left over from last year and from summer league to make
up the difference. Finally, the BCA Open Team Tournament in Vegas
requires 3 players from the same league team to play the open. We
have gotten lucky the last 3 years to send qualified teams but our luck
will run out and any team that has fewer than 3 teammates will have to
play the Masters.
I (alone) propose these changes if only to get the discussions rolling. We have to make changes that meet 3 criteria: 1) build the league, 2) meet our financial limits, and 3) meet the BCA rules. Please review the attached document and discuss with your captain and/or with any officer of the league. We want to hear all sides, all pros and all cons. This proposal is meant as my thoughts on changes we can make to try and make things better. Of course, I understand that with any change there will be some that are not completely happy with changes. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions, PLEASE bring them forward. I don't assume that I have the best answer but give one idea in hopes that others will come forward and we ALL can come up with a unified way to meet the above criteria. Any changes will have to be approved by the membership at the year-end banquet April 29, 2010. |

Viking is holding their traditional pool tournaments Tuesday and Wednesdays for Capital City Classic entries. Tournaments start at 7:00p.m.
